Welcome to my website.

I am a postdoctoral researcher in the ERC-funded RESPOL project at the University of Hamburg. Prior to this, I was a postdoctoral researcher at Chemnitz University of Technology and ETH Zurich, where I also completed my PhD. I have held visiting positions at the University of Oxford and Bocconi University. I earned an MSc (Research) in Social Sciences from the University of Amsterdam and a BA in European Studies from Maastricht University.

In my research, I draw on insights from social psychology, geography, and political science to study territorial divisions in European politics. I focus in particular on the urban–rural divide in political behavior, the crisis of trust in left-behind places, and the political consequences of residential mobility.

My work has been published in Comparative Political Studies, the European Journal of Political Research, the European Political Science Review, European Union Politics, the Journal of Elections, Public Opinion and Parties, the Journal of European Public Policy, and Political Behavior.

For more information, please explore my website or contact me via email.
